Here is a collection of games that will be coming out this fall, the only question is can your wallet handle this load?

NHL 13

Get ready to experience heavy hits and checks as NHL 13 is released. This game will revitalize the series as there are new features including: EA Sports Hockey IQ, True Performance Skating, Improved rating system, Team First Presentation, GM Connected, NHL Moments Live, and refined goalie controls.

Quantum Conundrum

Kim Swift, known for her stellar work on Portal, brings her physics-based puzzling expertise to Quantum Conundrum. Players can switch back and forth between dimensions, making heavy objects become fluffy or even slow down time! With such a great mind working on this project, the game will undoubtedly work out your brain while maintaining a consistent sense of humor that will keep you smiling.

The Amazing Spider-Man

Yes, the The Amazing Spider-Man film is releasing this summer, but this game adaptation looks like more than a cheap tie-in. This is the third Spider-Man game developed by Beenox. At this point, the team has Peter Parker down perfectly. More importantly, they have shown an expertise with the character's web slinging and aerial mobility. Swinging through the city looks amazing and the team appears to truly enjoy the flow of combat.

Spec Ops: The Line

Spec Ops: The Line is the ninth game in the series, but feels like a genuinely sincere attempt at livening up the shooter genre. Set in the Middle-Eastern metropolis of Dubai, the game features some of the coolest looking environmental physics, all of which fundamentally alter gameplay. The game also emphasizes verticality, letting players rappel and zipline throughout the city. It seems that Spec Ops: The Line is trying to take shooters to new heights.

The Secret World

There are plenty of MMOs available, but the vast majority follow the same formula: class-based characters grind levels in a fantasy world. The Secret World aims to change all that with an adult game set in the modern world. This is a dark and even terrifying realm of demons, ghosts, angels, and all the other creatures that go bump in the night. With a far more versatile leveling system, The Secret World aims to stir things up in the MMO genre.

Orcs Must Die! 2

The first Orcs Must Die! took tower defense games to a whole new level. The first-person, trap-building, orc-killing extravaganza deserves all the praise it received. With two-player cooperative play, Orcs Must Die! 2 will provide even more hilarious and challenging entertainment to fans of the tower-defense genre.

Sleeping Dogs

Sleeping Dogs garnered plenty of attention at E3 this year, and for good reason. This open-world crime drama has the feel of Grand Theft Auto with an aesthetic all its own. Set on the streets of Hong Kong, Sleeping Dogs looks to bring the excitement of gang warfare and fast driving to an audience eager for a change of environment.

Darksiders II

This sequel to the highly praised Darksiders aims to expand the game with a larger world, a deeper story, and more nuanced gameplay. With War imprisoned, players now take on the role of Death himself, unleashing destruction upon all who stand in his path. For fans of the first game, the apocalypse can't come fast enough.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive might not be flashiest or most unique shooter to release this summer. Yet by now, we know this to be true: Valve makes great games. There is a reason the original Counter-Strike: Source is still played competitively today. Even as a downloadable-only game, we can expect a solid, well-balanced, and incredibly fun shooter from CS:GO.

Fall of Cybertron

Transformers: War for Cybertron was an underrated game that finally managed to bring the Transformers world to video games without tarnishing the franchise. With the ability to Transform on the fly as any of a variety of Transformers, and with a deep class-based multiplayer, the game set itself apart from many competitive games on the market. Fall of Cybertron refines what made the first game so entertaining, bringing with it an even larger colllection of Transformers to become and destroy.

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy

Say what you will about the strangely named Final Fantasy title, Theatrhythm looks to actually be an enjoyable 3DS experience. While the game veers far from the RPG genre defined by Final Fantasy, Theatrhythm aims to blend some of the franchise's story and action elements within its rhythm-based gameplay. Both Elite Beat Agents and Rhythm Heaven found immense success with the formula. Considering the Final Fantasy pedigree, we can expect an equally enjoyable experience from Theatrhythm.

Record of Agarest War 2

While this series may be new to you, Record of Agarest War has a decently large following in Japan. The tactical RPG earned high praise in Japan when it was released back in 2010, and its gorgeous visuals are sure to grab your attention. While this might be for a niche audience, true JRPG fans will be happy Record of Agarest War 2 is finally coming to North America.

The Last Story

Like Agarest War, The Last Story already saw a Japanese release way back in 2010. This gorgeously drawn action-RPG brings in stealth elements, strategy elements, and many of the fantasy RPG features we know and love. The Last Story looks to be a rich and complex game set in an expansive world that lends itself to near-endless exploration.

Persona 4 Arena

The hugely popular Persona series is chock full of crazy monsters and beautifully drawn characters. With the release of Persona 4 Arena later this summer, the cast of Persona will fight to the death! Despite the sharp change in gameplay, this is a direct sequel to Persona 4 and includes many of the same characters from the series. With a style all its own, Persona 4 Arena looks to be a thrilling fighting game.

Madden NFL 13

EA Tiburon has clearly invested a large amount of time and money into reviving the Madden franchise. Although the series has always had a huge fan base, the team at Tiburon bringing in plenty of changes. A new AI, a completely new passing game, and more QB options, have become the focus for Madden NFL 13. EA Tiburon is paying attention to all the little details of the game and it just might pay off big time.
